INTRODUCCIÓN: Si quisiéramos paramos a pensar en cosas importantes de Alborea, tendríamos que nombrar su gastronomía (tortas de sardina, embutidos, guisos típicos), sus vinos, la romería de Villatoya, el ambiente de agosto con todos los paisanos ausentes que nos visitan, principalmente de Valencia, sus paisajes del Cabriel, el canto de sus mayos, la valsoriana, como baile más típico, según dicen de procedencia centro europea, sus fiestas de septiembre y principalmente su iglesia, llamada en los últimos años "Catedral de la Manchuela", como principal seña de identidad del pueblo y como no el HIMNO A NUESTRA PATRONA la Virgen de la Natividad. Todo aquel que se sienta alboreano de verdad, se llena de emoción cuando canta el himno a la Patrona el día de la Fiesta Mayor (8 de septiembre), es algo muy importante para todo un pueblo. Según dice la gente, fue D. Pedro Castillo García, cura de Casas Ibáñez, su compositor, aunque no se ha podido demostrar documentalmente, pero según sus conocimientos musicales no le debieron faltar méritos para ello. D. Pedro Castillo, nació y murió en Alpera (1895-1978). Además de los estudios sacerdotales, estudió música en el Conservatorio de Murcia. Como instrumentista, realizó conciertos de piano en Murcia, Valencia y Albacete, y dirigió en varias ocasiones la Orquesta Sinfónica de Valencia, habiendo dejado multitud de composiciones de obras de carácter religioso para órgano y coro. Como homenaje a NUESTRA PATRONA, hoy estrenamos la música de su himno, gracias al trabajo musical totalmente desinteresado de D. Miguel Pascual Campos(1) y Juan González Pardo(2), iniciados hace más de dos años, junto con la colaboración de todos los músicos y Junta Directiva de la U. Musical Ciudad de Albacete, ha sido posible llevar a la partitura para banda y órgano, este himno que tanto significa para el pueblo, y estrenar de forma solemne su música, quedando en lo sucesivo la composición a disposición del Ayuntamiento y Parroquia, para que la puedan interpretar otras bandas y en el órgano de la iglesia en los momentos más solemnes. Alborea, Octubre 1999 Sinforiano González Lozano (1) Compositor y actual director de la Unión Musical Ciudad de Albacete, que ha dirigido anteriormente las bandas de Ayora y Madrigueras. (2) Músico de la Unión Musical Ciudad de Albacete que en la actualidad estudia 5` curso de Grado Medio, en la especialidad de clarinete en el Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música y Danza de Albacete.
