PROYECTO ERMITA
Agradecemos la oportunidad que nos brindan las páginas de este programa para difundir y hacemos partícipes de este proyecto, cuya realización hay que enmarcarla dentro de la necesidad que nuestro pueblo tiene de contar con un lugar digno, propio y definitivo para la realización de su tradicional Romería del 1 de Mayo.
Las dificultades surgidas durante los últimos años con el lugar de celebración, nos han obligado a acelerar la búsqueda y adecuación de otro espacio en donde, a semejanza de otros pueblos, podamos disfrutar de ese día en paz, armonía y buena convivencia.
Recogiendo el sentir popular, se eligió «La Cañada» como el sitio idóneo para su ubicación, aún a sabiendas de que, en la actualidad, no reúne las condiciones necesarias para albergar a todos los alboreanos que con tal motivo nos damos cita en ese día.
Existe la voluntad y el compromiso de nuestro Ayuntamiento en ir adecuando el lugar, dotándolo de la infraestructura necesaria para que éste y otros acontecimientos camperos y populares puedan celebrarse en óptimas condiciones.
Sin embargo, una romería conlleva también un motivo religioso que es lo que da espíritu y sentido a tal peregrinación y que lógicamente necesita también su sitio y su espacio. Debe ser éste un lugar íntimo y recogido en donde las personas que lo deseen puedan cumplir adecuadamente con sus creencias religiosas. Es por ello, por lo que paralelamente al acondicionamiento de «La Cañada» como zona verde y recreativa, se hace necesaria la construcción de una pequeña ermita en la que podamos honrar y venerar a nuestra Virgen.
Así lo entendió el gran número de asistentes, cuando en la reunión convocada por Los Romeros, Ayuntamiento y Parroquia de Alborea, el día 15 de Mayo, aprobó su construcción, fijó el lugar idóneo para ello y abrió un plazo para que todos los que lo desearan pudieran presentar sus ideas y proyectos.
Hasta hoy sólo nos ha llegado el que adjuntamos y que es obra de Cayetano Carrión Mislata.
Aunque para su construcción habrá que recurrir a todo tipo de ayudas y subvenciones, es cierto que gran parte del proyecto debe ser cubierto y financiado con suscripciones populares, para lo que se han habilitado dos cuentas del Ayuntamiento, -concepto ermita-, en ambas cajas de la localidad.
-Por cada 5.000 pesetas de donativo se entregará un ladrillo simbólico con el nombre del donante.
Somos conscientes de que todo cambio suscita polémica y controversia y aunque nuestra Romería, estos, están motivados por la obligación y necesidad de encontrar un espacio alternativo; creemos que su ubicación en La Cañada quedaría reforzada con la idea de que, dicha Romería, significaría además, un reencuentro con nuestro pasado y una peregrinación a nuestros orígenes; en definitiva, un testimonio de alegría y agradecimiento a todas aquellas personas que, hace miles de años, eligieron el Ballunquer como el primer lugar de los asentamientos humanos de la zona; pues todos sabemos que en él se han encontrado restos de cerámica ibérica y que poseemos testimonios escritos que hablan de la existencia de una ermita en dicho paraje.
Esperamos contar con vuestra participación y colaboración, para sacar adelante este proyecto que tan sólo pretende construir un presente mejor para Alborea y legar a las generaciones venideras un pueblo del que, al igual que nosotros, se sientan orgullosos.
